2003 Don Grosh Retro Classic 2003 Don Grosh Retro Classic

**SOLD**

For more pics go to this page.
It's a beautiful lightweight alder body, finished in nitro (if you don't want your guitar to "age" don't read any further) - in what Don calles "Aged White".
Looks are further enhanced by the minty 'guard, knobs and p.up covers.
P.ups are Fralins: Steelpole in the bridge and Vintage Hot in the mid and neck position. A nifty addition is the "blender" pot - in the place of the second tone control. This allows you to blend in the bridge / neck pickup, effectively allowing you to have the 2 missing combinations in the regular 5 way switch: bridge+ neck and all three on (you must select position 2 or 4 to hear this).
The Wilkinson trem is very smooth and precise and the locking tuners works beautifully.
The braz fretboard is perfect with basically no traces of wear.
The only thing that mars the near perfection of this guitar are stains at the 2 strap pins - this is due first and foremst to the nitro finish which has reacted with a leather strap (to the chemicals used to tone it, probably).
The guitar is being sold for Eur 1620 plus shipping. Check out the price for a new one (this one is almost mint) on Gbase.
This is a STEAL-DEAL... I might still lock this one away in my own personal closet!

**This Guitar Is SOLD
1999 Gibson R9 "darkburst" Les Paul Reissue.

These Gibson reissues don't come up for grabs that often, and you know it.
From the stash of an U.S. connoissur comes this darkburst beauty, the second ever built - for the famous store Wildwood, the ones who introduced the "darkburst" color scheme.
Original case, most of the documentation, non-original Seymour Duncan antiquities, original hardware and pots; weighs appx. 8.5 lbs (=3.9 Kg).
No major blemishes, dents, scratches. Guitar was handled through Mark's Guitar Loft at a point and has been positively discussed on LPF (Les Paul Forum).
Asking price is 4'400 Euro + shipping.

Trans Green Daytona

1994 Hamer USA - Daytona
**SOLD**
A great example of a classy bolt-on workhorse in 25.5" scale. The fretboard of theis s-shaped beatuy is comfortably wide with a nice average D shaped neck in hard rock maple. Sperzel locking tuners and a very nice redwood fretboard round out this side of the business. The body is finished (original color) in transparent green, which lets the very classy figure of the ash peek thru. The tremolo is the original Wilkinson, while the pickups were changed at an earlier stage to Lollar Blondes. The guitar has some very small scuff marks here and there but otherwise it is mechanically very sound and soulful. No issues and tone-to-the-bone is the name of this game. Hamer OHSC included. Price: Eur 650.-

2005 ex-demo Nik Huber Blue Orca 2005 ex-demo Nik Huber Blue Orca

**SOLD!**
The pictures don't really do justice to this stunning Orca. It would not be here for sale if a "loving fan" had not decided to inflict a scratch on it's back at the 2005 Musikmesse in Frankfurt. I decided to keep the guitar as a showcase / demo piece as it is truly one of Nik's finest pieces. It sports a mahogany body and neck, an exceptional quilted and double stained top, brazilian rosewood fretboard, ebony faceplate with the Orca inlay, ebony pickup rings, and control cavity covers. Please note that the woods and workmanship are all of "private stock" quality and that the guitar IS totally handbuilt. The sound of this guitar with the two Häussel Classics (= 59 PAF clones) can only be described as having the sensitivity to the playing touch very much like a good single coil guitar, with the added muscle and output of a humbucker loaded axe. You can actually dial in where you wish your crunch sound to start by just varying the picking pressure - scary, that's what everybody says about this incredible guitar.
In it's present ex-demo condition, the guitar can be had for 2'200 euro (there is only the one scratch on the back finish - no to the wood); we can have Nik recondition it to "as new" for additional 500 euro, if you wish.
The list price that was hanging at the Musikmesse read out 4'390 euro ($ 5'300 incl. german VAT)...

Classy Amber...

2005 Nik Huber - Orca
***SOLD***
You are looking at a brand new Nik Huber Orca model. The guitar is completely hand built with a mahogany body and neck, a brazilian rosewood fingerboard, flamed maple cap. The mahogany part of the body is 0.5 cm thinner than a Les Paul so the maple cap does have a more pronounced effect, giving it more overtones. The scale length is 25" - between a Fender and Gibson scale - and indeed this fine guitar manages to be played with singlecoil-like sensitivity and humbucker power. The Häussel Classic pickups emulate a real '59 PAF and a re splittable via a push-push tone control.
Price: Eur 3'475 plus local VAT
Note: this item may not be available if there already is a national distributor in your country. Please write for more info and assistance.

Nik Huber Dolphin Nik Huber Dolphin

**SOLD**
A rare 4+2 headstock Dolphin with the natural mahogany headstock and neck finish. Guitar features an ultra quilt (PRS Private Stock mastergrade quality) top, finished in a doublestained "atlantic blue" color. Maple pickup rings and the usual duo of Häussel VIN / VIN+ pups (splittable via the tone pot) round up the offering. Simple but very psychedelic abalone inlays on a IRW fretboard. The 25.5" scale gives you a nice snappiness to complement the woody richness of the mahogany body and neck. Tons of sustain and clarity.
The guitar is priced at Eur 3'025 plus your local VAT. Dealer enquiries are more than welcome, of course!

Quilted T

2004 Melancon Custom Artist T
**SOLD** This stunning T-shaped guitar comes all the way from Louisiana and features a mahogany body, a stupendous quilted maple top and a 100% rosewood bolt on neck (25.5" scale). One volume and one tone control - the latter allows for the pickups to be operated in single coil mode. The pickups have been swapped to Häussel VINtage and honestly they sound much better than the stock Di Marzio that originally came with the guitar (and which are BTW included in the sale). The OHSC is included and is the only "damaged" piece, as it is scratched (nothing serious, but nevertheless) - otherwise the guitar is in "as new" condition (the guitar was purchased as a prospective Häussel-Melancon deal which unfortunately fell thru).. The sound of this baby is crunchy, woody, warm; the split pickups yield some nice cutting, funky, single coil tones.
This guitar is priced to go at Eur 1'650 (US retail price was $3'030).
